Erika graduated from the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University with a BA in Religious Studies and a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Management. Immediately after graduating, she moved to Israel to pursue a deeper study of her Jewish roots. During her three-year stay in the Holy Land she met her husband, Matt, and they married and had their first child, Binah. Upon returning from Jerusalem, Erika became involved in the Jewish non-profit world, first as a Relationship Manager and Fundraiser for Partners in Torah, and then, upon arrival in Atlanta, becoming the Director of SSO for Torah Day School of Atlanta (TDSA) where she got a first-hand experience of how vital the ALEF Fund is to Jewish Education in Atlanta. Erika is now a stay-at-home mother of two TDSA students and a preschooler. She is an active member of the Beth Jacob and Torah Day School community and sits on a committee for each organization. She teaches yoga and writes on the side.
